A weekend of Football vs Adventure, the South Dorset cup is back!
We’re back at Osmington Bay with our Football Tournament Weekend at one of PGL’s largest activity centres in South Dorset. Your bank holiday weekend will be filled with energy, team spirit, competition. On the day (Sat or Sun) when you are not at the tournament venue, your group will have a full activity programme planned onsite at PGL Osmington Bay, which will be delivered by PGL members of staff.
Comfortable accommodation in newly built blocks, adventurous activities and nourishing meals are all included in your weekend package!
Your football club or school team will have a full day taking part in the football tournament, with the other days seeking adventure with the on-site activities. End the weekend with a special guest presented awards ceremony and a party to celebrate your wins!

You’ll be competing in a 1-day tournament, making the most of activities on site and taking your confidence to the next level. There’s something for everyone! All activities are led by experienced instructors, this is your weekend to become fearless!

A long weekend means more time to party! Come together and party the night away with an evening of entertainment.
Accommodation
A newly built accommodation block in the centre of PGL Osmington Bay, comfortable rooms of multi-bedded, twin, and single rooms, and all with an ensuite! The multi-bedded rooms all have bunk beds which are perfect for children to share. Bed linen can be provided at an additional cost, or you can choose to bring your own.
Nutritious meals included
All our packages are full board and meals are provided when you’re on-site. We want to ensure everyone is well fed for a full-on weekend, and the centres catering team provide a range of nutritious hot and cold food options in a buffet style. Any dietary requirements? Just let us know at the time of booking and we can do the rest!
Drinks are all included in the package, with water, squash, tea and coffee available with all meals. There are also water fountains on site to make sure everyone keeps hydrated and can fill up their water bottles.
What to Expect
Friday:
Drop off your luggage, check out your room and start exploring! Take a look at the activities that are waiting for you ready for the weekend ahead. Then it’s an evening meal in the dining room ahead of some fun evening activities.
Saturday & Sunday:
It’s all GO for the tournament! Age categories will be allocated for either the Saturday or Sunday ready for you to win the cup!
With your other day free you will be making the most out of the exciting and daring activities that surround the site. This is your time to become fearless!
Anyone staying at PGL will be invited to celebrate a spectacular weekend full of team spirit, competition, and adventure! In a room full of live music, you’ll be dancing and singing the night away!
You will also be invited to an awards ceremony where a special sporting guest will be in attendance. Get your cameras ready for a photo and autograph!
Any teams that are offsite will be collecting their medals/trophies once their age groups have finished all the games at the venue.
Monday:
It’s time to say goodbye, your last meal will be breakfast and then it’s time to continue any celebrations at home and spread the word of an unforgettable football tournament weekend.

What’s included in your package
En Suite Accommodation
All rooms whether you are in multi bedded, twins or singles have an en-suite. (Bed linen can be supplied at an additional cost, or you can choose to bring your own).
Full board
You’ll be on a full board basis and be catered for from Friday evening all the way until Monday morning at Osmington Bay. All meals are buffet style with vegetarian options available and special dietary requirements catered for. Just give us a 2 week notice and we can arrange this for you.
Looking for a stronger drink? You can pick up an alcoholic drink at the bar afterwards.
Awards ceremony
Finish the weekend with an awards ceremony with all players receiving a medal and the winning team receiving the tournament cup! Get the cameras ready as there will be a special guest appearance!

Shall we bring both home & away kits?
To avoid kit clashes, we strongly recommend you bring both your home & away kits.

Do we have to drive to the venue?
Yes, we do not have a coach service for the tournament.

Where is the tournament venue?
The venue is Redlands Leisure Centre in nearby Weymouth.

How many games will we play?
Depending on your teams age group, you’ll play up to the maximum number of minutes per day, as stipulated by The FA.

You can track yours and other teams fixtures and results using our Tournify page. Details are given out prior to the event.

What catering options are there?
Meals are buffet-style with vegetarian options available and special diets catered for when given 2 weeks prior notice. You’ll eat all meals supplied by the venue in their communal dining room.
